GUNA SUES MIDROC FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT

• The trading house claims 7.8 mln bi

Guna Trading House plc filed a suit on May 6 at the Eighth Civil Bench of the Federal High Court at Lideta claiming 7,843,312.33 birr from Midroc Construction Ethiopia Plc for breach of contract.

According to the statement of claim, the plaintiff, Guna Trading House Plc, had a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the defendant, Midroc Construction Ethiopia, signed on November 10, 2009 to supply construction materials.

In the memorandum of understanding Guna had greed to supply construction materials like RE-bar, timber, practice board, bitumen, sheet metal by credit and Midroc Ethiopia agreed to pay the market value of the materials.
