President of the Oromia region, Shemesh Abdisa, has held a meeting with the committee set up to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The President urged the public to work hard to get accurate information about the corona virus without harming the region’s economic activities.
In particular, factories should do their job to protect their workers against the virus.
The president also said that taxi activity in urban areas and public transport from one city to another should be stopped.
According to the committee, 144,000 volunteers are providing free services in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus.
So far, 46 million birr of material support has been used to prevent the virus, ENA reported.
So far, 44 isolates, 107 hospitals, 174 health centers, 677 beds and 23 ambulances have been prepared to prevent the spread of corona virus.
