According to the Ministry of Health, three of the 247 individuals diagnosed within the last 24 hours have been found positive.

Additional four patients have been confirmed to have recovered from the virus.

In a statement to ENA, Health Minister Dr. Liya Tadesse said all three individuals diagnosed with the virus are Ethiopian and have no travel history.

All three are said to be residents of Addis Ababa.

Two of the individuals are men, and it is not yet confirmed whether they have any contact with a person with the disease.

The statement said one of the 23-year-old had been in contact with someone infected.

Following this, the number of coronavirus cases in Ethiopia has reached 74.

So far, a total of 4,101 tests have been have been conducted.
