Prime Minister Dr. Abby Ahmed held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin about COVID-19.

They also discussed strengthening relations between the two countries in a bid to respond appropriately to the effects of the Coronavirus epidemic.

Later, the Prime Minister said on his Facebook page that he was happy to hold talks with President Putin, who is primarily coordinating support for Africa through the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and G20.
