Definition of Powers and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (Amendment) Proclamation No.1021-2017

PROCLAMATION NO.1021/2017

 A PROCLAMATION  TO PROVIDE FOR THE AMENEDEMENT OF THE DEFINITION  OF POWER AND DUTIES OF THE EXCUTIVE ORGANS  OF THE GOVERMENET OF THE FEDERAL  DEMOCRATIC  REPUBLIC OF ETHIOPIA PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Proclamation Defining the Powers and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Government  of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia proclamation No.916/2015;  

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is hereby proclaimed as follows;

1. Short Title

This Proclamation may be cited as the “Definition of Powers and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (Amendment) Proclamation No.1021-2017”.

2. Amendment

The Definition of Powers and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Proclamation No.916/2015(as amended) is hereby amended as follows:        1/ Sub-article (2) of Article 37 of the Proclamation is deleted and replaced by the following new sub-article (2);   

   “2/ The Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority shall be accountable to the Prime Minister.”

2/ Sub-article (10) of Article 37 of the Proclamation is amended as follows:

“10/The following organs shall be accountable to the Ministry of Trade:              

a)  The Ethiopian Trade  Competition  and  Consumers Protection Authority;      

 b) The Ethiopian Commodity Exchange Authority.”

3. Effective Date This Proclamation shall enter into force on the date of publication in the Federal Negarit Gazette.
