COUNCIL OF MINISTERS REGULATION TO PROVIDE FOR THE REASSIGNMENT OF POWERS AND DUTIES OF EXECUTIVE ORGANS REGARDING TRANSACTION OF HORTICULTURE, LIVE STOCK,HIDES AND SKIN

This Regulation is issued by the Council of Ministers of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia pursuant to Article 34 of the Definition of Powers and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Proclamation No. 1097/2018.

1. Short Title

This Regulation may be cited as the “Reassignment of Powers and Duties of Executive Organs Regarding Transaction of Horticulture, Livestock, Hides and Skin Council of Ministers Regulation No. 457/2019.

2. Reassignment of Powers and Duties

1. The Powers and Duties given to the Ethiopian Investment Commission pursuant to sub Article 7 of article 32 of the Definition of Powers and Duties of the Executive Organs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Proclamation No. 1097/2018, with respect to Horticulture sector development and marketing, are hereby given to the Ministry of Agriculture.

2. The Powers and Duties given to the Ministry of Agriculture under laws currently in force with respect to the marketing of the Livestock as well as the Hides and Skin sectors are hereby given to the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

3. Effective Date

This Regulation shall enter into force as of 7^th, Day of September, 2019.
